This month we have stories of the Governments latest manoeuvres, this time it\u2019s to blame managers for not dealing with the waiting list crisis and not spending the money effectively \u2013 you really couldn\u2019t make it up.<\/span><\/p>\n

They haven\u2019t got off completely scot free as there have been some damaging headlines on Covid failings but as you will read they got off fairly lightly!<\/span><\/p>\n

There is a bit of good news about Ealing Hospital and some very good reading too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Guest Speaker this month is Malcolm Alexander, Chair of the Patients Forum for the London Ambulance Service<\/strong> telling us more about our ailing ambulance service.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Our Guest Speaker is<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Malcolm Alexander, Chair of the ‘Patients Forum for the LAS’\u00a0<\/b>and a long time campaigner.<\/span><\/p>\n

As many of you will have read the London Ambulance Service (LAS) has been in crisis for some time with Government cuts and underfunding leading to increasingly poor\u00a0performance. More recently plans were revealed to close 68 ambulance stations, to be replaced with 18 ‘hubs’. Thanks to campaigning these dangerous plans are now on hold.<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span>Malcom Alexander was very instrumental in the campaign against the threatened closures and\u00a0<\/span>appeared in the national media\u00a0<\/b>– we are delighted he can join us for what should be a very interesting discussion – please tune in!<\/span><\/p>\n
