{"id":405,"date":"2015-03-28T09:10:38","date_gmt":"2015-03-28T09:10:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ealingsaveournhs.org.uk\/?p=405"},"modified":"2016-03-28T09:52:51","modified_gmt":"2016-03-28T09:52:51","slug":"write-to-your-gp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ealingsaveournhs.org.uk\/?p=405","title":{"rendered":"Write to your GP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You can talk to your GP or give them a letter to ask them\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to call a halt to the closure on 30<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> June.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you choose to write a letter we do encourage you to <strong>write in\u00a0your own words,<\/strong> for instance\u00a0with your personal story of taking your child to the A&amp;E\u00a0if you can, otherwise you can state how the closure of the Children\u2019s Ward might affect you, your family and friends\u00a0and your community.<\/p>\n<p>You should also ask your GP to\u00a0do something to oppose the closure of Charlie Chaplin Children\u2019s Ward and the plans to exclude children from treatment at Ealing A&amp;E.<\/p>\n<p>You could also ask\u00a0w<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hat guarantees there would be\u00a0that the London Ambulance Service can move seriously ill children to another hospital quickly enough \u2013 they are failing to meet agreed times now and may consider a child as safe once they are at Ealing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You might also want to ask how the CCG could plan to\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">exclude children from the A&amp;E<\/span>\u00a0when it\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">has failed to come up with figures on the number of children that attend A&amp;E.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You can \u00a0also download a template letter for your GP \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ealingsaveournhs.org.uk\/GPs.pdf\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>You can also write to your <a href=\"https:\/\/ealingsaveournhs.org.uk\/2015\/03\/28\/write-to-your-local-councillors\/\">local councillors<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can talk to your GP or give them a letter to ask them\u00a0to call a halt to the closure on 30th June.
